Verification & Security

Apple notarized

ProxyGuard is notarized by Apple, confirming it's free of known malware. You may see a brief verification dialog on first launch while macOS checks the notarization status. This is normal and only happens once.

Local proxy only

All traffic scanning happens entirely on your machine. ProxyGuard runs a local proxy on port 8080 and never sends data externally. Your code, prompts, and responses stay private and never leave your device.

Easy removal

To uninstall, quit ProxyGuard, drag it to Trash, and optionally remove preferences from ~/Library/Preferences. No background daemons or kernel extensions are installed, so removal is clean and complete.
